1. TUE, 20FEB24: The 6th Australian Drymix Mortar Meeting: Record Attendance

Only 3 weeks to go until The 6th Australian Drymix Mortar Meeting takes place at the Australian Maritime Museum, Darling Harbour, Sydney on 20. February 2024. As of today, we expect over 100 drymix mortar experts from Australia, New Zealand and ROW. The preliminary program can be found on our website and is being regularly updated there.

Admission to The 6th Australia Drymix Mortar Meeting is 550 €, reduced to 450 € for drymix.info members or partners. Drymix mortar manufacturers pay only 190 €. An additional travel rebate of 90 € for drymix mortar manufacturers from outside NSW is available, there are also special rates for scholars, researchers (faculty) and students. 2. 2024 MEDMA Members Convention, MON 15APR24 in Dubai, UAE

The Middle East Drymix Mortar Association MEDMA invites all its members and partners to its 2024 Members Convention on 15. April 2024, 15:00. The assembly will discuss and determine the strategy and individual goals of MEDMA, as well as targets and actions. Wacker Chemie has agreed to host our meeting at their premises at Dubai Silicon Oasis, thanks a lot for this wonderful support.

The MEDMA Executive Committee will soon be in touch with all members and partners to prepare the input and attendance. Members and partners of MEDMA can send maximum two delegates to the Members Convention free of charge. Observers are welcome at a fee (please enquire with us).

3. WED, 24. and THU 25APR2024, Manchester: The 1st UK & Ireland Drymix Mortar Meeting

A comprehensive lecturing program combined with the Blackburn Golf Competition is taking place at Worsley Park Marriott Hotel and Country Club in Manchester on 24. (Golf) and 25. April (conference) 2024. Join us for 2 days full of industry news and great networking opportunities. The competition is open to everyone, so be part of the full program. 

Admission to the 1st UK & Ireland Drymix Mortar Meeting including the Golf competition is £ 480 | 550 €, reduced to £ 395 | 450 € for drymix.info members or partners. Drymix mortar manufacturers pay only £ 170 | 190 €. There is a special £ 78 | 90 € travel rebate for drymix mortar manufacturers coming from Iceland, Ireland and outside UK, please enquire with us.

4. TUE 25JUN24, Monterrey: 5th Central American Drymix Mortar Meeting: Call for Papers Expires 28FEB24

The call for papers for the meeting in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico on Tuesday, 25. June 2024 expires on 28FEB24. Please enquire with us at info@drymix.info, local content is strongly encouraged.

Admission to the 5th Central American Drymix Mortar Meeting 550 €, reduced to 450 € for drymix.info members or partners. Drymix mortar manufacturers pay only 190 €. There is a special 90 € travel rebate for drymix mortar manufacturers coming from outside Nuevo Leon and Mexico please inquire with us.

5. THU 19SEP24: cedmmc8, Istanbul, Turkey: Call for Papers Issued

A Call for Papers has been issued for the 8th Central and South European Drymix Mortar Conference cedmmc8. The conference will take place (again) at the splendid Çırağan Palace Kempinski Hotel in Istanbul on 19 September 2024. Get your copy of the Call for Papers from info@drymix.info.

7. Eco Fusion Starts up its New Cement-free Drymix Mortar Plant in Dundalk, Ireland

Eco Fusion Ltd., Dundalk, Ireland has recently started production of drymix mortars at its fully automated plant. The initial product range will consist of cement-free tile adhesives, grouts, self-levelling underlayments (SLU) and  and will be expanded later to include precision (non-shrink) grouts, repair mortars and other drymix mortar products. The binder system is formulated using in-house proprietary technology. Eco Fusion will also offer a range of cement AND sand-free products, which are said to reduce the carbon footprint by up to 80%. The company will use recycled materials and recyclable packaging for this range. Since there is no Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) used in Eco Fusion’s products, they do no longer need the hazard label „irritant“. Citing Chris Vickers,CEO of Eco Fusion: „We will be the first drymix mortar plant in the world that does not order and use any OPC“.

8. RPM Opens Group Technology Center in Greensboro, NC


RPM International, Medina, OH, USA has recently inaugurated and started up its new technology center in Greensboro, North Carolina, USA. The research and product development facility has 6.000 sq. m. of working space for chemists and technicians of all RPM group companies. It will also serve as customer training center, including onsite hands-on application. Under its umbrella, RPM International unites many companies active in construction chemicals and drymix mortars such as Dryvit (EIFS), Euclid Chemicals ("EUCO", specialty mortars and grouts), Tremco (waterproofing) and Flowcrete (flooring compounds.

9. ResChem Joins drymix.info as Distribution Partner

ResChem Technologies Pty. Ltd. of Warriewood, New South Wales, Australia  has recently joined drymix.info as Distribution Partner. ResChem, founded in 2007, is a privately owned company with offices in Australia and New Zealand with a product portfolio focussed on the paints, coatings and construction chemicals (e.g. rheological additives for drymix mortars).

We warmly welcome ResChem Technologies to our community.

10. Pidilite Puma Joins MEDMA as Member

Pidilite  MEA Chemicals was established in Dubai in 2005, with distribution and production activities. Recently, Pidilite formed a Joint-Venture with Spanish drymix mortar producer Grupo Puma, Córdoba to produce high performance cementitious tile adhesives (CTA), grouts and flooring products for the GIC markets. Pidilite Puma is operating out of their factory at Dubai Investment Park II.
