1. 7th Australia Drymix Mortar Meeting, Sydney, 05FEB26: Program; Delegate Warmup

Drymix mortar experts from the Asia-Pacific region and Australia meet again in Sydney to discuss recent developments in technology, production and application: the 7th Australia Drymix Mortar Meeting takes place at the Maritime Museum at Darling Harbor, Sydney, New South Wales on 5. February 2026. RLA Polymers and drymix.info invite again to the traditional Delegate Warmup the evening before (04FEB26), RSVP and location yet to be determined. 2. The 8th American Drymix Mortar Conference admmc8, Mexico City, 19. March 2026

The upcoming 8th American Drymix Mortar Conference admmc8 is actually two events in one: we have decided to integrate our (7th) Central American Drymix Mortar Meeting with the admmc8 Conference - expect wonderful exchange of an international crowd from the NAFTA Region and beyond. Our preparation team is currently in contact with contributors to admmc7 (Richmond, VA, 2023) and those to our last meeting in Monterrey (2024). Our Call for Papers expires on 14. December 2025, we encourage you to submit your papers now. Also many interesting special sponsoring items are still up for grabs!

For your scheduling: We are planning a field trip to the ruins of ancient Teotihuacan on Friday, 20. March 2026, a mortar-free attraction worth visiting. Carlos Carvajal has again agreed to support us in Mexico, the event will be organized by Celeste Bo Sung Kim - the recent addition to our drymix.info team. If she lets me, I will act as the Moderator ;-).

Admission to our 8th American Drymix Mortar Conference admmc8 is MXN 12.000 | USD 640 per delegate, reduced to MXN 9.500 | USD 520 for drymix.info members and partners. Drymix mortar manufacturers pay only MXN 4.000 | USD 225 p.p.. The Second East Asia Drymix Mortar Meeting, Taipei Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, Taiwan, 23. April 2026: The CfP is extended until 14. December 2025


The Second UK and Ireland Drymix Mortar Meeting, Coombe Abbey (near Coventry), 6. June 2026: This event takes place immediately before Surfex in Birmingham, yet another reason to join us in Coventry. There will be a sponsored Pub Night after our event on Monday evening. Rooms for overnight stays are limited - reserve early (we have got ours ;-). The CfP ends on 12. December 2025


The Second African Drymix Mortar Meeting takes place in Johannesburg, South Africa on 20. August 2026, we will focus on a standardization strategy for all Nations in Southern Africa. The CfP ends on 31. January 2026.


Already for the ninth time our Central and South European Drymix Mortar Conference cedmmc9 takes place at Çırağan Palace, Istanbul, Turkey on 17. September 2026. We had over 150 drymix mortar experts back in 2024! Register early, we might have to get a bigger conference room (and a larger cruise ship for our Bosphorus evening (sponsoring provided). The CfP ends also on 31. January 2026.


The Ninth India Drymix Mortar Conference takes place in New Delhi, India (exact location tbd.). This CfP ends also on 31. January 2026.

For our Fall events, especially the 19th Annual Conference of MEDMA (Saudi Arabia is planned here) and SEADMA (Bangkok, Thailand), the dates remain tbd. - we will inform you once everything has been decided by the respective Executive Committees.

4. Bodo Möller Takes over Bridge Chemical (Mexico)

Bodo Möller Chemie GmbH, Offenbach am Main, Germany, has recently acquired chemical distributor Bridge Chemical Company (BCC), Chihuahua, Mexico. BCC, founded in 1993, supplies raw materials and equipment to various industries, including automotive, aerospace, adhesives and chemical applications. The company operates its own laboratory and seven branches and warehouses in Celaya, Ciudad Juárez, Monterrey, Nuevo Laredo, Nuevo León, Puebla, and San Luis Potosí and has 55 employees. According to Bodo Möller Chemie, Bridge Chemical Company will be officially integrated into the Group in mid-January 2026. A transaction value was not given by either party.

5. Ardex Australia Commissions Multi-Line Mortar Plant Developed in Cooperation with Actemium-Sofraden

Ardex GmbH of Witten, Germany, by way of its fully-owned subsidiary Ardex Australia Pty Ltd, Kemps Creek, NSW, has recently successfully commissioned its new production plant for drymix mortars. The concept and design for the new unit, consisting of a 35 m high tower building, which is 15 m wide and 40 m long, was developed in cooperation with Actemium-Sofraden, Saint-Étienne, France. The cornerstone was laid in summer 2024, and by mid-August 2025, the multiple production lines were fully operational. The plant consists of several complete fully integrated mixing lines and automated storage facilities for over 40 raw materials, including sensitive and explosive chemicals. The new plant's capacity and the investment value was not disclosed by either party.

6. Heidelberg Materials Acquires Slag Grinding Facility on the US East Coast

Heidelberg Materials AG, Heidelberg, Germany has announced to acquire Walan Specialty Construction Products, Delaware, USA. The company, founded in 2017, operates a modern grinding facility for slags in the port area of Wilmington, Delaware. Ground slags are being used as functional pozzolanic additives in clinker reduced cements  (CEM II to CEM V) and help reducing the carbon footprint of the end product. Walan's capacity in Wilmington is 150.000 tons per year, the plant was commissioned in 2022. A transaction value was not disclosed by either party.
