Special: Events Preview

Dear Friends of drymix.info,

before sending out our year-end Newsletter next week, we have decided to issue this special one dealing with exclusive drymix events and publications in and for the drymix mortar industry around the globe. Our intention is provide planning security to all those interested to actively contribute or join the meerings and supply content for the publications.

We have included also smaller, regional meetings as long as we had a fixed date yet. We tried to keep the information as precise and informative as possible, so you can use this newsletter as a reminder and overview (a nicely layouted version will be provided on our website soon).

A "special within this special" is the announcement of the programme for idmmc five and ECC Construction Chemical Session (both in Nürnberg in April). A total of 26 technical lectures of which we are very proud and also thankful to the contributors.

Calls for Papers for all events up to our 10th Anniversary SEADMA Conference in Bangkok are already available upon request at drymix.info.

We hope for your active contributions and presence, after all, drymix.info is only about YOU!

1. Drymix Mortar Yearbook 2015

As usual, the Drymix Mortar Yearbook 2015 will sum up recent scientific articles on drymix mortar technology and is being published on occasion of idmmc five in Nürnberg, 20. April 2014. Contributions and materials can only be accepted for inclusion until 31. December 2014, so if you wish to publish an article, an advertisement or an advertorial, you should hurry up and talk to us. Publication fees apply.

2. China Drymix Mortar Yearbook 2015 by CBMA and drymix.info

In cooperation with the China Building Materials Association (CBMA), Ready-Mixed Mortars Branch, drymix.info is preparing the first China Drymix Mortar Yearbook. CBMA reaches more than 20.000 mortar experts throughout China. CBMA is also translating and sending out the drymix.info newsletter.

Submissions of articles or advertisements for this publication are accepted until 31. January 2015. drymix.info is offering a translation service for existing articles (e.g. published in one of the recent Drymix Mortar Yearbooks or Technical Bulletins). The China Drymix Mortar Yearbook 2015 will be presented to the public in CBMA's annual symposium on mortar technology in June 2015 in Beijing (exact date and location tbd.). Publication and translation (if any) fees apply.

3. Casual drymix.info Evening during BAU 2015, München, 21. January 2015

Mortar Masters Meet in Munich: the casual drymix.info Evening during BAU takes place again on 21. January 2014, from 19:00 at Hofbräukeller, Munich, Wiener Platz. This event has become a traditional vanishing point for tired showgoers on "BAU-Wednesday". After a hard day at the fair there is time to chat, have dinner with friends and just have a good time. So far, Wacker-Chemie and Calucem have agreed to sponsor us (thanks a lot). Sponsoring is still welcome, for details please directly inquire with us.

Although the meeting is free of charge, registration is absolutely mandatory since seating is limited. Just send us an e-mail.

4. Open SEADMA EC Bangkok, 10. February 2015

In its Annual General Meeting, the members of The South East Asia Drymix Mortar Association SEADMA have approved of the idea to “travel” the regular Executive Meetings throughout the ASEAN Region and also to open them up towards the local drymix mortar industry (be it members or not!). The first such meeting takes place at Sukhothai Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand on Tuesday, 10. February 2015 from 10:00 until 15:00. The entire SEADMA EC has already confirmed its attendance. The meeting will focus on measures to advance the Thai drymix mortar industry and have a particular focus upon standardisation and the formation of the Thai Drymix Mortar Association (probably as a Chapter of SEADMA). In order to plan the meeting properly, advance registration is mandatory for everybody.

One Admission is free of charge for SEADMA members (additional delegates see: mortar manufacturers). Drymix mortar manufacturers pay THB 4.000 | 95 €, Industry Observers pay THB 10.000 | 235 € (reduced to THB 8.000 | 188 € for SEADMA partners). Sponsoring is welcome, Group sponsoring costs THB 35.000 | 820 € (includes 2 admissions and certain sponsoring rights).

5. Asia Summit on the Industrial Manufacturing and Application of Drymix Mortars, Mumbai, 24. March 2015

drymix.info, The International Community for Drymix Mortars is inviting industrial and academic professionals to propose abstracts for lectures to be presented at the upcoming Asia Summit on Industrial Manufacturing and Application of Drymix Mortars. Dr. Sumon Chakravarty (formerly Ultratech Cement) has agreed to act as the Technical Chairman of this important industry summit. We expect researchers, state officials, machinery and automation experts, formulation and raw material suppliers as well as the drymix mortar community itself to the event. The Aisa Summit is separated into two sessions: a) Industrial Manufacturing of Aggregates and Mortars and b) Formulations and Practical Advice on the Mechanical Application of drymix mortars. Since there are many submissions expected, please note that the Call for Papers ends already on 31. December 2014, so speak with us immediately once you made your decision. Sponsoring of course is welcome, we are prepared to provide special areas on the outside for machine display and demonstrations.

Online registration (recommended) is possible via our website, regular admission is 220 €, reduced to 190 € for drymix.info members and there is a specially reduced admission for drymix mortar manufacturers which is only 120 €.

6. The Fifth International Drymix Mortar Conference idmmc five, Nürnberg, 20. April 2015

The International Drymix Mortar Conference unites the drymix mortar industry with its suppliers. The event takes place for the fifth time, right before European Coatings Show, the bi-annual and most important exhibition for our industry. It is complemented with a comprehensive Industry Showcase. As you know, Prof. Dr. Johann Plank acts as the Technical Chairman and he has approved the programme published below. The Drymix Mortar Yearbook 2015 will appear on occasion of idmmc five. As always, delegates can enjoy a casual welcome in Barfüsser im Mautkeller on Sunday evening, 19. April 2015. Registration is already possible online (non-members: hurry up to book at the reduced rate for early birds!).

7. European Coatings Congress/Construction Chemicals Session, Nürnberg, 21. April 2015

For the fourth time, Ferdinand Leopolder also acts as the Technical Chairman of the Construction Chemicals Session at European Coatings Congress ("ECC") in Nürnberg on 21. April 2015. Prof. Dr. Andreas Gerdes, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is traditionally co-chairing this event and both have approved the following lecturing programme. 8. 3rd Advanced Building Materials Middle East Conference, Abu Dhabi (May 2015, exact date tbd.)

The Middle East Drymix Mortar Association MEDMA invites building materials producers, construction experts, consultants, architects and legislators to its 3rd Advanced Building Materials Middle East Conference (ABME) this coming May (date and location will be decided upon in the MEDMA Strategy meeting in Dubai on 7.12.2014). ABME also features a comprehensive Industry Showcase, MEDMA's Technical Bulletin 09 will be distributed on the occasion. A Draft Call for Papers and an Exposé is already available at drymix.info.

9. Central American Drymix Mortar Meeting, México City, 23. June 2015

As a courtesy to our many clients in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, drymix.info is offering to organize its first meeting in this region (and in spanish of course). The idea is to unite in a central location (México City) and discuss recent developments in the drymix mortar industry for this region. Submissions for the scientific programme as well as lectures on market-oriented topics (market development reports or case studies) are encouraged, a Call for Papers is already available at drymix.info. Of course we would appreciate sponsors, too, and advice on the choice of location.

10. Indonesia Symposium on Machine Application of Drymix Mortars (end July 2015, exact date tbd.)

The South East Asia Drymix Mortar Association SEADMA invites construction experts and legislators to the Indonesia Symposium on Machine Application of Drymix Mortars in Jakarta. This symposium will feature technical lectures, project reports and practical demonstrations, complemented with an Industry Showcase for our sponsors. On this occasion, SEADMA will also hold its Open Executive Committee Meeting, where members and non-members can bring in ideas on how to develop mortar technology further in Indonesia.

11. 4th Latin American Drymix Mortar Conference ladmmc four, São Paulo, 6. November 2015

Staged again at the cosy Club Transatlântico in downtown Sao Paulo, the 4th Latin American Drymix Mortar Conference ladmmc four will feature a comprehensive lecturing programme and an extensive Industry Showcase. The place to be for drymix producers throughout entire South America.

12. 10th Anniversary SEADMA Conference, Bangkok 19. November 2015

SEADMA
Already 10 years passed since the founding of The South East Asia Drymix Mortar Association SEADMA. Time to celebrate! The 10th Annual SEADMA Conference will also feature a splendid Delegate welcome (Gala Diner, sponsors are welcome) and SEADMA 10 Years Anniversary Celebration on 18. November 2015.

The exclusive meeting of the GCC drymix mortar industry with international guests just before The Big5 at splendid Al Badia Golf Club.

14. MEDMA Workshop on Big5, Dubai, 23. November 2015

As in 2014, MEDMA is planning a workshop on drymix mortar technology on Big5, in cooperation with DMG Events. This years workshop was well frequented, over 100 delegates were counted and the topics were well received. Submissions should focus on technical topics concerning the production, formulation and application of drymix mortars.
