1. SEADMA Conference in Jakarta, 20. November 2012, Jakarta

SEADMA's 7th Annual Conference and Industry Showcase takes place in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 20. November 2012 at Pullman Hotel Jakarta Central Park. The turnout is splendid, over 100 mortar experts from Indonesia, Sinagapore, Malaysia, The Pillippines China and Thailand have confirmed attendance already. Registration is open until Monday, 19. November 1012, 12:00 noon, regular admission is 190 Euro, drymix.info and SEADMA members pay only 160 Euro ( drymix.info/shop , Visa or Mastercard required).

By mutual request, drymix.info and SEADMA are sponsoring our Delegate Welcome Cocktail, which takes place on Monday night, 19. November 2012, 20:00 at Pizza e Birra, the fabulous outdoor beer bar right next to our hotel (free for registered Delegates, but advance registration is mandatory). We meet at 19:00 in the Hotel Lobby for Early Check-in of the Delegates. Join us!

2. drymix-CONVENTION 2012, 05. December 2012: Advance Registration Open

Advance Registration has started for The Second drymix-CONVENTION, the only web-based exhibition for drymix mortars, which takes place on 05. December 2012 from 08:00 until 20:00 CET. The virtual platform is accessible on the internet from any location worldwide. This online event is being organized by Vincentz Network in cooperation with drymix.info. 

We definitely would like to encourage all mortar experts to register early (free of charge for visitors), since it is essential that a system check is being carried out on your computer in order to ensure that you will be able to use all features of drymix-CONVENTION properly. Visitors and exhibitors alike can make use of our new registration tool from today onwards. Please keep a picture handy for uploading into your profile.

This year, three new features have been added: when you register, you will be asked a few questions, your answers will serve to find friends with similar interests in drymix-CONVENTION. The chat function has been greatly improved by adding a personalized communication center for each delegate AND you can use a Voice over IP (VoIP) function (if your counterpart has a microphone and speakers attached to his PC or laptop). I am looking forward to seeing you all online on 05. December 2012!

3. Casual drymix.info Evening During BAU 2013: 16. January 2013

Our traditional casual evening during BAU 2013 takes place on 16.1.2013 in Munich, Germany. We meet at 19:00 for this no-ties, no-agenda event. Please note that there is a change of place, however, we will meet at Hofbräukeller (same Subway Max Weber Platz), not at Unionsbräu, which will close down on 31.12.2012. Nevertheless we guarantee you a similarly bavarian atmosphere. Sponsoring is still welcome, Wacker, Evonik and Rotec have already confirmed their support. The event is free of charge, advance registration is mandatory by e-mail to info@drymix.info.

4. BASF Plans to Sell BASF Wall Systems

BASF SE, located in Ludwigshafen, Germany announced that they plan to sell its subsidiary BASF Wall Systems GmbH & Co. KG, together with the Marktredwitz site where this unit is headquartered. Currently, BASF Wall Systems GmbH & Co. KG has approximately 190 employees, who will continue to be employed by the new owner. BASF Wall Systems produces wall insulation materials and finishing systems for construction  (tradename Heck). In addition, the company offers renovation and restoration systems for historical buildings under the Rajasil brand. In 2011, the BASF Wall Systems generated sales in the mid double-digit million euro range. The polystyrene based panels (Neopor, Styropor, Styrodur) as well as insulating materials made of polyurethane are not affected by the planned divestiture, they remain part of the BASF portfolio.

5. Baumann Equipment Joins drymix.info as an Industrial Partner

Baumann Equipment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., China has decided to join drymix.info as Industrial Partner. The company has specialized on the production of application machines, spare parts and accessories for the construction industry. The portfolio includes a rendering machine, shotcrete equipment, concrete (floor) polishers and concrete saws. Baumann Equipment (Shanghai Co. Ltd. was founded in 2011 by international experts from within the construction machine industry.

6. MYK Laticrete Opens New Plant Near Hyderabad

MYK Laticrete of Hyderabad, India has recently inaugurated its new installations in nearby Rudraram. The new complex consists of an automated drymix mortar plant as well as a training center, intended to increase awareness at architects, engineers, consultants and contractors (applicators) for modern, factory-made drymix mortars and the associated technologies. Since its inception in the year 2000, Laticrete has continually improved its manufacturing and research basis. The new plant is said to have an annuall capacity of 150.000 tons of drymix mortar, it will be used mainly for tile and stone installation products such as adhesives and grouts.

7. Lafarge Drymix Malaysia Joins SEADMA as a Member

Lafarge Drymix Sdn Bhd, headquartered in Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia has decided to join SEADMA as a Member. Lafarge produces a variety of skimcoats, adhesives and premix renders under the brand name "QuickMix" for the markets in Malaysia and beyond. Lafarge Drymix Sdn Bhd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lafarge Malayan Cement Berhad. The company has started its drymix business in 1999 and is now one of the leading drymix mortar manufacturers in Malaysia.
