1. TUE, 20FEB2024: The 6th Australian Drymix Mortar Meeting: Join our Delegate Welcome on 19FEB24!

The 6th Australian Drymix Mortar Meeting takes place in the splendid setting of the Australian Maritime Museum, Darling Harbor, Sydney on 20. February 2024. But not only that: RLA Polymers has agreed to sponsor our Delegate Welcome, which takes place at one of the nicest locations around: The View by Sydney is a former wharf with historic warehouses on it, nestled directly under the spectacular Harbor Bridge. Come and marvel and mingle: MON 19FEB24, 18:30 (RSVP absolutely mandatory). Thanks a lot, Troy!

Registrations are running strong, we had to move to the large theatre at MuSEAum already, thanks a lot for your interest! Admission to The 6th Australia Drymix Mortar Meeting is 550 €, reduced to 450 € for drymix.info members or partners. Drymix mortar manufacturers pay only 190 €. An additional travel rebate of 90 € for drymix mortar manufacturers from outside NSW is available, please contact info@drymix.info. New: special rates for scholars, researchers (faculty) and students upon request.

2. New on our Agenda: 2024 MEDMA Members Convention 15APR24 in Dubai, UAE

We have gained a lot of new members and partner during the past 12 months. So, The Middle East Drymix Mortar Association MEDMA invites all its members (including the many new ones) to its 2024 Members Convention on 15APR24 (just before MECS). In this meeting the strategies and goals of MEDMA, as well as targets and actions will be determined in accordance with the member's expectations.Up to two delegates from MEDMA members are free of charge, guests are welcome at a fee. Location tbd, very likely near our office at DWTC.

Members and partners of MEDMA can send maximum two delegates to the Members Convention free of charge. Firm registration / RSVP is absolutely mandatory to info(at)drymix.info. Sponsoring and Observers are welcome at a fee.

3. WED, 24. and THU 25APR2024, Manchester: The 1st UK & Ireland Drymix Mortar Meeting: Registration Open at drymix.info

Our first conference in the UK is coming up at Worsley Park Marriott Hotel and Country Club in Manchester on 25. April 2024. Catch up with the community, enjoy the comprehensive lecturing program (the preliminary schedule was published in our last newsletter – it is regularly being updated on our event website), and be part the Golf Competition on 24. April sponsored by Blackburn Chemicals! The competition is open to everyone, so do not miss this unique opportunity.

Admission to the 1st UK & Ireland Drymix Mortar Meeting including the Golf competition is £ 480 | 550 €, reduced to £ 395 | 450 € for drymix.info members or partners. 4. TUE 25JUN24: 5th Central American Drymix Mortar Meeting: Call for Papers Issued

Our next Central American Drymix Mortar Meeting will - by mutual request - take place in Monterrey, N.L. Mexico on Tuesday, 25. June 2024. drymix.info has recently issued the Call for Papers, please enquire with us (it expires on 28FEB24). Our supporting team in Mexico are again Meliza Benitez and Carlos Carbajal. Sponsoring (including support of our cocktail hour!) is greatly appreciated!

Admission to the 5th Central American Drymix Mortar Meeting is 550 €, reduced to 450 € for drymix.info members or partners. Drymix mortar manufacturers pay only 190 €. There is a special 90 € travel rebate for drymix mortar manufacturers coming from outside Nuevo Leon and Mexico please enquire with us.

5. THU 19SEP24: Directly on the Bosphorus: 8th Central and South European Drymix Mortar Conference cedmmc8

Back again at Ciragan Palace: The 8th Central and South European Drymix Mortar Conference cedmmc8 takes place on Thursday, 19. September 2024. rymix.info has recently issued the Call for Papers, please enquire with us (it expires on 28FEB24).

Admission to the 8th Central and South European Drymix Mortar Conference cedmmc8 is 550 €, reduced to 450 € for drymix.info members or partners. Drymix mortar manufacturers pay only 190 €. There is a special 90 € travel rebate for drymix mortar manufacturers coming from outside Turkey (we encourage the Greek drymix mortar community explicitly to join us!) please enquire with us.

6. TIMAB Magnesium Joins drymix.info as Industrial Partner

TIMAB Magnesium, Dinard, France has recently joined drymix.info as Industrial Partner. TIMAB, founded in 1970, with its subsidiaries Magnesitas Navarras, Zubiri, Spain and Magnesium do Brasil, Papicu (Fortaleza), mines and refines compounds based on magnesium ore for agricultural, industrial refractory and construction applications. TIMAB is part of french Groupe Roullier (CFPR), Saint-Malo, France, and employs 650 people.

We warmly welcome TIMAB Magnesium to our community.

7. Arkema Acquires ARC Building Products, Ireland

Arkema PLC, Nanterre, France has recently acquired all assets of ARC Building Products  in Arklow, Co. Wicklow, Ireland. ARC is known for its full portfolio in tile adhesives, grouts, flooring systems, building chemicals and sealing & bonding compounds. ARC reported sales of 15 mio Euro in 2022. The activity is said to be complementary to that of Bostik which is present in Ireland since over 60 years. Arkema expects significant industrial and commercial synergies through this  acquisition. Bostik plans on expanding at the Arklow site, with new production facilities. A transaction value was not given by either party.

8. MC-Bauchemie Takes over Trading Business of BCS in Australia

MC-Bauchemie Müller GmbH & Co. KG, Bottrop, Germany, by way of its recently formed subsidiary MC-Bauchemie Australia Pty Ltd, Rydalmere, NSW, has recently taken over all assets of the trading business division of Building Chemical Supplies (Australia) Pty Ltd (BCS), Tingalpa, QLD. For almost 20 years, the two companies have been cooperating in Australia and New Zealand. Now, the decision was taken to split the application from the trading business. BCS will continue as injection specialist in the ANZPAC region for infrastructure and commercial construction while MC-Bauchemie Australia will take responsibility of BCS' trading operations with 7 employees as well as the former BCS-warehouses in Sydney and Melbourne (the warehouse in Brisbane will be operated jointly for a period of time, too). A transaction value was not disclosed by either party.
