1. Malaysia DMMA Meets in Kuala Lumpur on 13. July 2018

The newly formed Malaysia Drymix Mortar Manufacturer's Association (MDMMA, Society in Formation) holds its annual meeting in Kuala Lumpur on Friday, 13. July 2018, 11:00 at Le Méridien Hotel KL Sentral. The main items on the agenda are institutional cooperations, standardization, contractor education, new members as well as the status of the registration procedure at Malaysia Registry of Societies. It is important that all Founding Members are present, since some paperwork has to be signed and our revised constitution has to be reviewed. Founding Members will be contacted by SEADMA in a separate e-mail during the coming days.

By the way: this is a good occasion for mortar manufacturers not yet member in MDMMA to finally join our new association and SEADMA local chapter for Malaysia.

Attendance is free of charge for drymix mortar manufacturers (up to two delegates per company, additional delegates pay only 150 € per person), but advance registration is absolutely mandatory. Industry observers pay 350 €, reduced to 270 € for SEADMA or drymix.info partners.

2. Hiệp Hội sản xuất vữa khô tại Việt Nam- Hội thảo SEADMA tổ chức tại TP Hồ Chí Minh: Ngày 17 Tháng 7 Năm 2018

Các công đoạn đăng ký đang được tiến hành cho hội thảo SEADMA Việt Nam cho hội thảo tổ chức vào Thứ Ba, Ngày 17 tháng 7 năm 2018, từ 13:00 đến 18:00. Sự kiện sẽ được diến ra tại khách sạn Continental. Song song với việc đăng ký, chúng tôi rất hân hạnh tiếp nhận sự tài trợ cho buổi hội thảo này. Các nhà tài trợ dưới đây sẽ có cơ hội trình bày trong buổi hội thảo như sau:

a. Các công ty sản xuất có liên quan ngành vữa trộn khô: Miễn phí, có thể tham gia đến 2 khách / công ty. Khách thứ 3 sẽ thu phí VND 4,200,000 (€150)/ khách. Yêu cầu: vui lòng xin đăng ký sớm để sắp xếp vì lý do có giới hạn chỗ ngồi.
b. Các doanh nghiệp, đại lý, thương mại hoặc cá nhân tham gia quan sát hội thảo: Phí Thu VND 10,000,000 (€350)/ khách. Ưu đãi cho Hội viên cho Hiệp Hội MEDMA hoặc thành viên trong drymix.info, với giá

The SEADMA Vietnam Kick-off meeting takes place on Tuesday, 17. July 2018 from 13:00 to 18:00 at the historic Continental Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. The program is available on www.drymix.info. Attendance is free of charge for drymix mortar manufacturers (up to two delegates per company, additional delegates pay only VND 4.200 | 150 € per person), but advance registration is absolutely mandatory. La 2 ° Encuentro Sudamericano de Morteros Secos promete ser una reunión maravillosa y internacional con la asistencia confirmada de Brasilia, Costa Rica, República Dominicana, Ecuador, Guatemala, México, Panama, Perú, Trinidad y Tobago y, por supuesto, Colombia. Tendrá lugar el Martes, 21 de agosto en el Hotel Intercontinental, Medellín, Colombia. The 6th Central and South European Drymix Mortar Conference cedmmc six takes place again at Ciragan Palace in Istanbul, Turkey, on Thursday, 4. October 2018. 5. SEADMA Mortar Technology Day (7.11.18) and 13th Conference (8.11.18): at Swissotel le Concorde in Banghok

The location for the SEADMA Technology Day and the 13th Annual SEADMA Conference has finally been determined: we will meet at Swissotel le Concorde (where we had our first conference back in 2007). The SEADMA Mortar Technology Day is by invitation only and is intended as a focussed event where SEADMA and its members (mortar manufacturers) present the advantages of drymix mortars to our target audience, consisting of consultants, contractors and developers. Key topics include economical attractiveness, saving of labor cost, efficiency increase, jobsite cleanliness and reduced traffic, quality finishing, durability (low maintenance) and environmentally conscious construction.

In the early evening on 7.11.18, we plan a cocktail hour, uniting all delegates (sponsors are welcome!).

The South East Asia Drymix Mortar Association SEADMA holds to its 13th Annual SEADMA Conference and Industry Showcase on Thursday, 8. November 2018 at Swissotel le Concorde, too. The Call for Papers for this conference has already expired, the program will be announced in our next Newsletter.

Access to The Mortar Technology Day on 7.11.18 is by invitation only, cost will be published to the sponsors individually. Admission to the 13th Annual SEADMA Conference on 8.11.18 is 350 €, reduced to 270 € for SEADMA, drymix.info or MEDMA Partners. Drymix mortar producers pay only 150 €. In order to encourage mortar manufacturers from abroad to join us in Bangkok, a further reduction of -50 € applies for mortar producers from outside Thailand.

6. Baumit Germany Takes over Schäfer Krusemark

Baumit GmbH, Vorderhindelang, Germany is taking over the distribution company Schaefer Krusemark GmbH & Co. KG, Diez and Krusemark Edelputz GmbH & Co. KG, Mühlheim/Main, both Germany. According to Baumit, the Krusemark production location in Mühlheim will be enlarged, the Schaefer's operations for mortar production in Hahnstätten will be continued by Schaefer Kalk and delivered and branded to Baumit GmbH. A transaction value was not disclosed by either party, the deal is still subject to the approval by the German anti-trust authorities.

After the spin-off, Schaefer Kalk will entirely focus on lime products as well as Percipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC). Baumit GmbH is the German subsidiary of Schmid Industrieholding GmbH, Wopfing, Austria and a long-standing member of drymix.info.

7. Akzo Nobel Acquires Fabryo in Romania

AkzoNobel bv, Amsterdam, The Netherlands has agreed to acquire 100% of the shares of Fabryo Corporation S.R.L., Bukarest, Romania (Fabryo). Fabryo, established in 1994 as Guzu Chim produces paints and lacquers (brandnames “savana”, “Rost” and “innenweiss”) and mortars (brand name “Alpla”) at two production facilities and operates six distribution centers throughout Romania. Fabryo's turnover in 2017 was 45 mio Euro. A transaction value was not disclosed, the deal is expected to be completed in the second half of 2018 and is still subject to regulatory approval.
