11. A Glimpse into 2019

1. drymix.info: Better Deals for Industrial Partners!

Effective this January, there are some additional advantages for our Industrial Partners: if you decide for Gold Sponsorship and pay for your employees prior to the event, you can invite one additional client to this event free of charge (mortar manufacturers only, does not apply to own staff or distributor personnel). In addition to that, for our events, we have introduced the possibility to propose a "product presentation", where Industrial Partners are free to present their contents without scientific requirements. Product Presentations offer you an affordable way to get your content across.

Also, the distribution of our Drymix Mortar Yearbook 2018 (see below) has been increased (without raising the prices for contributions!): this yearbook will go to all events, including Asia this time, until April 2019!

One more thing: most events will be preceded or followed by a casual drymix.info Club, which also offers our Industrial Partners possibilities to sponsor a few drinks & snacks and thus show their commitment to the drymix mortar industry.

2. Drymix Mortar Yearbook 2018 in Production Now

Our Drymix Mortar Yearbooks are the key publication and the world's single and only scientific technical compendium about drymix mortars. The 2018 edition will appear in Chicago, at admmc six, on April 26, 2018. It will accompany all drymix.info, MEDMA or SEADMA events in 2018 and way into 2019.

We are currently producing DMYB 2018 and can admit additional scientific articles (max 8 pages), advertorials (max. 4 pages) or full page, full color ads, condition: you must submit your materials until 31. January 2018 (publication fees apply, please refer to our List of Services).

3. Russian Mortar Days, Moscow, 30. and 31. January 2018, Last Info for Delegates

The scientific conference Russian Mortar Days 2018 takes place in Moscow, Russia on 30. and 31. January 2018. The event is hosted by the Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (MCU or MGSU), Technical Chairman is Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Andrey Pustovgar. Like the previous events at MCU, Russian Mortar Days 2018 will feature 12 scientific lectures and an Industry Showcase. New is our excursion to Kolomna with a visit to the mortar plant of CED-RUS.

Russian Mortar Days 2018 on Tuesday, 30. January 2018 starts at 10:00 sharp at MGSU - please let us know if you wish to take the bus shuttle from Hotel Cosmos at 08:30.

The excursion to Kolomna takes place on Wednesday, 31. January 2018, our bus leaves from Cosmos Hotel at 08:30 sharp. Due to the complexity of this excursion and safety reasons, pre registration of each participant is absolutely mandatory by 26. January 2018, spontaneous guests can and will not be admitted. This excursion is free of charge and only available for properly registered (and paid for) delegates of Russian Mortar Days 2018.

Admission per person is 350 Euro, reduced to 270 Euro for drymix.info members. Drymix mortar producers pay only 150 Euro per person. Delegate registration for international visitors is available on the drymix.info website, for payments in Roubles within Russia, it is better to register with Quintet at baltimix.ru. A suitable hotel nearby is Hotel Cosmos, from which also the shuttle buses leave in the mornings.

4. The 4th Australia Drymix Mortar Meeting, Manly (Sydney), 15. February 2018

The 4th Australian Drymix Mortar Meeting takes place on Thursday, 15. February 2018 at Q-Station, Manly, Sydney, NSW. This event will give drymix mortar experts from Australia, New Zealand and beyond to meet, network and exchange new ideas in a casual and concentrated atmosphere. The program details have been published in our last newsletter and are now on our website, registration is open.

There is a drymix.info Club scheduled on Wednesday evening, 14. February 2018, 20:00: when registering, please let us know if you are already at Q-Station or in Manly and wish to join us (sponsors for this casual event are always welcome!). Admission per person is 350 Euro, reduced to 270 Euro for drymix.info members. Drymix mortar producers pay only 150 Euro per person.

5. The Third Philippines Drymix Mortar Meeting, Manila, 13. March 2018: Preliminary Program

The Philippine Drymix Mortar Manufacturer's Association PhilDMMA and The South East Asia Drymix Mortar Association SEADMA invite drymix mortar experts to join our Third Philippines Drymix Mortar Meeting at the fabulous Manila Polo Club on Tuesday, 13. March 2018 (delegates can stay on to visit the Worldbex Construction Exhibition, which starts the next day). Here is a preliminary list of topics (sorted by title, subject to change without notice):

6. admmc six, Chicago, IL, USA, April 26, 2018: Preliminary Program

The 6th American Drymix Mortar Conference and Industry Showcase admmc six will take place at Hyatt Regency Hotel McCormick Place in Chicago, IL, USA on April 26, 2018. admmc six gives drymix mortar experts the ideal occasion to meet, chat, network and grasp future trends for our industry. Technical Chairman is Prof. Dr. Johann Plank, Technische Universität München (TUM), our Drymix Mortar Yearbook 2018 will be published on occasion of this event.

7. NEW: The 2nd South American Drymix Mortar Meeting in Medellín, Colombia, 21. August 2018

Colombia has enjoyed robust and continuous growth since the turn of the century. Especially after the peace treaty of President Juan Manuel Santos with FARC and other organizations, the construction economy is picking up rapidly. Colombians are optimistic and dedicated to build up their country. Thus, it is time to introduce modern construction technology such as drymix mortars for all applications! By popular request, we are organizing our 2nd South American Drymix Mortar Meeting in Medellín, Colombia, on Tuesday, 21. August 2018, right before ExpoCamacol (in 2016, we were in Buenos Aires, Argentina). We thank our first supporters (listed by date of commitment) and encourage others to join, too: Evonik, Haver USA, J. Rettenmaier (JRS Mexicana), Formitex, Dow, Mapei, Poraver, m-tec and Lotte Fine Chemical. Our Call for Papers is running until 28. February 2018.

8. The 6th Central and South European Drymix Mortar Conference cedmmc six, Istanbul, Turkey, 4. October 2018

The 6th Central and South European Drymix Mortar Conference cedmmc six again takes place at Ciragan Palace in Istanbul, Turkey, on Thursday, 4. October 2018. By mutual request, we have one significant change: we start later than usual, very likely at 11:00 and finish late - in order to board our boat for the Bosphorus Cruise DIRECTLY at the Kempinski Hotel Pier! Our Call for Papers is running until 28. February 2018.

9. Date fixed: 13th Annual SEADMA Conference, Bangkok, Thailand, 8. November 2018

During our last SEADMA Conference in Nusajaya Johor, Malaysia, we had solicited the opinion of our delegates about the date of the event - most of our SEA friends vouched for a date earlier in November, because year-end is studded with events and fairs in the region and in China. So, we decided to move it forward and recently, together with the drymix mortar chapter at Thai Concrete Association (ThaiDMMA), we decided to hold the 13th Annual SEADMA Conference on 4.11.18 (location remains to be determined later). Our Call for Papers is running until 31. May 2018.

10. Planned: 14th Middle East Drymix Mortar Conference, Sharjah, UAE, 25.11.18

Our most recent event was hosted by Sharjah Research Academy at University of Sharjah - it was a great success and we were warmly welcomed in Sharjah. And we certainly want to repeat it at the same location this year! We are currently in negotiation for the set date (25. November 2018 - the first day of Big 5).
