Most of the lectures will be held in Spanish, simultaneous translations of the English lectures will be provided for. This event is specifically geared towards drymix mortar experts from Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Chile, Uruguay and of course Argentina, the second largest market for drymix mortars in South America. We expect companies interested to make a presentation to send us their proposals before 28. February 2016 - and of course we are hoping for industry support in terms of sponsoring, too.

The exact date will be determined within February, and we will publish the conference location once Carnaval is over (it is hard to get a quotation theses days ;-)...

5. SEADMA Nominates Tan Kim Song to Join Regulatory Body in Singapore

Currently, the Republic of Singapore is revising its Code of Practice for the Painting of Buildings (revision of SS 542 : 2008). Responsible for this process is The Standards, Productivity and Innovation Board (SPRING Singapore), which has in turn entrusted Singapore Chemical Industry Council Limited (SCIC) to carry out the process. With drymix mortars such as renders and skim coats being the basis for both exterior and interior painting SCIC has asked The South East Asia Drymix Mortar Association SEADMA to nominate an expert into the working group. Mr. Tan Kim Song, reknowned expert on drymix mortars with focus on renders (plasters) and skim coats works since over 20 years with Eastern Pretech (today E-Mix, a member of SEADMA) and can be clearly named as one of the drymix mortar pioneers on Singapore or even the entire SEA region. SEADMA is glad that he accepted this important assignment and we are sure he will influence the revision of SS 542 positively.
