During our events (and also recently in Mexico City) we were asked often if the photos and documents could be made publicly available. Documents, unless published in our Drymix Mortar Yearbooks or Technical Bulletins are a complex matter, since we respect the author's copyright. But we thought we might as well start with the photos I personally take during and around an event. So, we started with Central American Drymix Mortar Meeting, Mexico City, 14. 9. 2015: we put them online using a viewing software and you can see them on our website now. 1. ladmmc four in São Paulo, Brasil, 6. November 2015
The Fourth Latin American Drymix Mortar Conference ladmmc four takes place at Club Transatlântico, São Paulo, Brasil, on 6. November 2015. Delegates will be offered simultaneous translation Portugues - English. 2. The 10th Anniversary SEADMA Conference, Bangkok, 19. Nov. 2015: Programme
The South East Asia Drymix Mortar Association SEADMA invites to its 10th Anniversary Conference at Grand Mercure Bangkok Fortune Hotel on 19. November 2015. Over 120 drymix mortar experts are expected for this key international networking event of the drymix mortar industry in South East Asia. The full day conference will feature 10 technical lectures as well as the SEADMA Annual General Assembly (AGM). The SEADMA/MEDMA Technical Bulletin 10 will be published on occasion of this conference. The event is being supported by Actemium, Agrana, Calucem, Lahti, Mapei, NFLG, Nubiola, Poraver, SE Tylose, Sofraden, Testing, Wacker

3. MEDMA Annual General Meeting, Dubai, 22. November 2015
All MEDMA members and interested guests are invited to the Annual General Assembly of the Middle East Drymix Mortar Association at splendid Al Badia Golf Club in Dubai, UAE. The meeting begins at 19:00, the Executive Committee will present the MEDMA actions from 2015 and the outlook for 2016. Also, if needed, elections to the EC will take place. This festive event has become a fixed date for the industry prior to The Big 5 Industry Exhibition in Dubai. Admission is free of charge. Seating is limited, advance registration by e-mail to drymix.info is absolutely mandatory.
4. MEDMA Workshop during Big 5 on Jobsite Machinery: 23.Nov 15, Dubai
After a successful start last year, the Middle East Drymix Mortar Association MEDMA invites again to a Workshop during Big 5. This event is conducted in cooperation with DMG World Media, the organizers of Big 5, and Continuous Professional Education points can be obtained by consultants, architects and contractors alike by participating. MEDMA and drymix.info members have put together a comprehensive series of lectures all focussed on the industrial production of quality mortars and the application of such products on the jobsites throughout the Middle East. 5. Celotech Joins drymix.info As Industrial Partner
Celotech Chemical Co., Ltd., Suzhou, China has joined drymix.info as Industrial Partner. Celotech was founded in 2005 to facilitate the industrial production of cellulose ethers (in the beginning about 3.000 t/a of HPMC). In the course of the years, Celotech has expanded its production range to include MHEC and HEC. Since 2009 the company also produced cellulose fiber (located in Zhangjiagang). Installed capacities are 10.000 t/a for HPMC, 5.000 t/a for MHEC, 3.000 t/a for HEC and 1.000 t/a for cellulose fiber.

6. Sika Opens New Manufacturing Location in Russia and Expands in Argentina
Sika AG, Baar, Switzerland is increasing its production capacity in Russia by expanding existing locations as well as with new greenfield investments. in Wolgograd, Southern Russia, a new mortar plant as well as admixtures capacity is built. The existing plant in Lobnya (to the North of Moscow) receives a unit for the production of polymers for concrete admixtures. Apart from the two plants mentioned, Sika also operates units in St. Petersburg and Rzhev (Western Russia). Says Paul Schuler, Sikas Head of the EMEA Region: „...despite of reserved outlooks for 2015, we are convinced of the potentials in Russia in the long run for infrastructure and industrial construction.“
In Cordoba, Argentina Sika's second production unit for Mortars and admixtures will be opened shortly. The new unit is geared towards the Central and North-Western region of the Nation.
7. Hagebau and Hornbach Take over Baumax Stores in Austria
Hagebau GmbH, Soltau, Germany has recently announced the take over of six Baumax stores in Austria (Eisenstadt, Gralla, Graz, Judenburg, Mistelbach and St. Pölten) after German retailer Obi GmbH, Wermelskirchen took over 49 of the 65 stores. Baumax AG was founded in 1976 with annual sales of 1.13 Billions of € in 2013. It operated 105 outlet centers in Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Slovenia and had 6.200 employees in 2014. Baumax has suffered from weak housing markets like other home-improvement chains in Europe. Hagebau takes over the six locations and its employees and wants to continue the business with the Hagebau trademark. Including those recent acquisitions, the number of Hagebau stores goes up to 47 in Austria.
Meanwhile Hornbach (Bornheim, Germany) reports the take-over of the Baumax store in Innsbruck/Rum which will undergo reconstruction and be expanded. Innsbruck is going to be the 14th Hornbach Store in Austria and the first in the State of Tirol.
8. Rockwool Expands Capacity at Flechtingen/D Plant
Deutsche Rockwool Mineralwoll GmbH & Co. OHG, Gladbeck, Germany has decided to increase its production capacity at their Flechtingen (near Wolfsburg) plant. According to the company, the market demands a higher volume of mineral-wool-based thermal insulation panels. Rockwool offers those panels as system components for External Thermal Insulation and Finishing Systems (ETICS, or EIFS). Rockwool also is adding a packaged goods protection unit (shrink-hood) for better weather resistance. The unit in Flechtingen belongs since 1991 to Rockwool and has since been continually expanded.
9. Uzin Opens New Plant in Dover, Delaware, USA
Uzin Utz Manufacturing North America, Inc., a subsidiary of Utzin Utz AG (Ulm, Germany) has opened its new plant in Dover, Delaware. It is the Uzin’s first production site in the USA. The greenfield investment on 40.000 sq.m of ground includes, apart from the fully integrated drymix mortar unit, the company's administration as well as r&d facilites and quality control labs. The plant will produce self-levelling flooring screeds and spackeling compounds for the US and Canada. According to Philipp Utz, President of Uzin North America., the investment volume amounted to about 12 mio Euro.
10. Surimassa Builds Mortar Plant in Surinam
Surimassa Industries Ltd., Paranam, Para, Surinam is building a fully integrated plant for the production of drymix mortars such as tile adhesives, grouts and other construction products. The design and supply of technical components comes from Frigmaires Industries. Their scope includes drying, weighing, mixing and packaging units along with laboratory equipment. The nameplate capacity is 100 t/day. Commissioning is expected to be in December of this year.
