drymix.info Welcomes Dr. Yola Schmitz and Celeste Bo-Sung Kim to the Team

drymix.info is glad to announce that Dr. Yola Schmitz joined our team in Munich, Germany as Organizer and Project Manager (following Regine) as well as Celeste Bo-Sung Kim, stationed in São Paulo, Brasil, as Project Manager Americas & Africa.

Yola has a background (and phD) in (English) Literature, she works also as independent translator. Together with Gabriele, Philippe and Leo, Yola has taken over the task of coordinating our upcoming events in Kuala Lumpur (16OCT25) and Sydney (05FEB26). Also, with her help, we completed our planning for 2026, which we proudly present in this Newsletter. Celeste has a Master in Latin American Interdisciplinary Studies and quite some experience in construction chemicals: She worked as international sales executive for Samsung Fine Chemical (later Lotte FC) and then for Grupo Denver/Formitex. Celeste was already with us in Korea (03JLY25), and recently started interacting with our supporters of ladmmc8, São Paulo (13NOV25) as well as working on international projects such as the 8th American Drymix Mortar Conference, Mexico City (19MAR26, all new dates see below).

1. 18th Annual SEADMA Conference, KL, 16OCT25: Early Bird and PPM Specials Expire 16SEP25

Pertubuhan Pengilan Mortar Pra-Bancuh Malaysia | Malaysia Drymix Mortar Manufacturer's Association (PPM) and The South East Asia Drymix Mortar Association SEADMA invite jointly to the PPM Meeting 2025 – The 18th International SEADMA Conference, taking place at One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya (KL Metropolitan Area), Malaysia on 16. October 2025. PPM and SEADMA are particularly proud to have enlisted  Ir Ts Dr Muhammad Izzal Ismail; Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of SIRIM Industrial Research, SIRIM Berhad, as Keynote Speaker. He holds a PhD from Imperial College inLondon and has more than 10 years working experience in the Automotive and Engineering Industry with Lotus Group, Proton, Mitsubishi and UMW Corporation. In January 2024, Dr Muhammad Izzal Ismail started as Chief Technology Officer of SIRIM Industrial Research.

Delegate admission to PPM 2025 and the 18th Annual SEADMA Conference is MYR 2.600 (550 Euro) per person, reduced to MYR 2.200 (450 Euro) p.p. for drymix.info, SEADMA and MEDMA members. Drymix mortar manufacturers pay only MYR 950 (190 Euro) p.p. There is an early bird fee available for drymix mortar manufacturers of MYR 685 (140 Euro) p.p. until 16. September 2025. Special conditions exist for PPM members, as well as for drymix mortar manufacturers coming from outside Malaysia (travel allowance, remains intact until the event), please inquire with us.

Drymix Mortars in the Middle East – The 18th Annual MEDMA Conference takes place at Sharjah Expo on 22. October 2025. November 2025. drymix.info is very proud to confirm the keynote speech to be delivered by architect Haline Messias: “Architecture that Speaks: Messages of Sustainability and Empathy in Spaces“. 4. Production of Drymix Mortar Yearbook 2026 Starts now

We have already started the production (layout and editing) of the first articles for Drymix Mortar Yearbook 2026. We will be in touch with drymix mortar experts concerning their publishing proposals and/or advertisements within this and next month, however we remain open for your ideas, too. The Drymix Mortar Yearbook 2026 goes out to our list of subscribers and is being distributed at all drymix.info events (see item 5. below). DMYB 2025 is a wonderful tool to support your sales force and to get your messages across all around the world.

5. Global Events for the Drymix Mortar Industry until 2027: a Preview

The drymix.info team has been busy this summer to think about the schedule for 2026 and beyond, please consider the list below as a replacement of former informations. Please review carefully, there are some substantial changes (e.g. we have merged our Mexico Meeting with the American Drymix Mortar Conference!). A Call for Papers for each event is available at drymix.info. 6. WWRC Malaysia Joins drymix.info as Distributor Partner

WWRC Malaysia, Shah Alam, Malaysia has recently joined drymix.info as Distributor Partner. The company is part of WWRC Group, founded in 1980 (as Fu Yuan Enterprise, since 1988 re-named to World Wide Resins and Chemicals, WWRC). Apart from Malaysia, the company has 17 subsidiaries and industrial activities e.g. in Indonesia, Korea, Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, Thailand and the US, its headquarter (Holding) is in Singapore. 7. Oscrete UK Joins drymix.info as Member

Oscrete UK Ltd, Bradford, West Yorkshire, has recently joined drymix.info as a member. Founded in 1983 as a division of chemicals distributor Christeyns UK, Bradford, Oscrete specializes on the formulation of concrete admixtures for the the precast industry. With their powdered products, Oscrete also delivers specially developed (custom tailored) mortars and compounds to the markets on the British Isles.

We warmly welcome Oscrete to our community.

8. Imerys and Denka Join Forces for the Development of Specialty Binders and Additives

Imerys SA, Paris, France and Denki Kagaku Kōgyō K.K. (Denka), Tokyo, Japan have recently announced their cooperation to co-develop and deliver innovative, low-carbon, high-performance solutions for construction material manufacturers and rollout specialty binder additives. Imerys is known for their high Alumina Cements (formerly: Ciment Fondu Lafarge) and the production and processing of other industrial minerals. Denka produces chemicals, resins and plastics for various industries, and is also known for their specialty Calcium-Sulfo-Aluminate Cements (CSA).
