1. Post-event Report: The 5th Philippine Drymix Mortar Meeting, Manila, 27FEB25

Last week, the 5th Philippine Drymix Mortar Meeting took place at Dusit Thani Hotel Manila, and we are really happy to report the impressive number of nearly 80 delegates for this single-country event! The meeting was organized jointly by The Philippine Drymix Mortar Association PhilDMMA (SEADMA Chapter) and The South East Asia Drymix Mortar Association SEADMA.Many local and international delegates discussed the market situation and the latest industry news. Our program featured important contributions from Philippine drymix mortar experts as well as from other ASEAN countries and beyond. Philippe Russo moderated the event - he was assisted logistically and at check-in by Verlyn Rubillos - thanks a lot!

The 10th international Drymix Mortar Conference idmmcX and Industry Showcase takes place on Monday, 24. March 2024, 08:00 at Kleine Meistersingerhalle, Nürnberg: our
Technical Committee consists of Prof. Dr. Johann Plank, Technische Universität München TUM (Technical Chairman), Dr. Christoph Hahner, transform2innovate, München and Prof. Dr. Andreas Gerdes, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology KIT (all Germany). The preliminary program can be found on our website. On Sunday, 23. March 2025, we have our Delegate Welcome: drymix.info Jubilee (celebrating 23 years) at Ofenwerk, Nürnberg (RSVP mandatory). BAUMA 2025 - the world's largest industry fair - takes place here in Munich from 07APR25 to 13APR25. Another great occasion to meet and network with industry experts at our cosy, traditional get-together on “BAUMA Wednesday”, 09APR25. 5. East Asia Drymix Mortar Meeting, Seoul, South Korea 3. July 2025: Delegate Registration has Started

For the very first time, a Drymix Mortar Meeting will be held in Korea, so do not miss this opportunity and register now for the East Asia Drymix Mortar Meeting on 03. July 2025  at Hotel Mondrian in Seoul. This full-day event features a comprehensive lecturing program with both local and international content as well as an Industry Showcase and of course will give you plenty of networking opportunities. 6. Oqema joins drymix.info as Distributor Partner

Oqema GmbH of Mönchengladbach, Germany, has decided to join drymix.info as a Distributor Partner. Oquema was founded 1922, today the chemical distributor is representing companies from 24 countries across Europe from various industries such as life sciences and technical applications to environmental solutions. Oqema offers services along the supply chain from procurement to product development, custom blending, logistics, and recycling as well as technical and regulatory support to assist customers.

7. BASF Sells its Decorative Paints Business in Brasil to Sherwin-Williams

BASF SE of Ludwigshafen, Germany, has signed an agreement to sell its Brazilian decorative paints business to the paints and coatings supplier Sherwin-Williams of Cleveland, OH, USA, for approximately 2.000 mio Euro. The transaction includes production sites in Demarchi and Jaboatão, employing about 1.000 people, as well as the Suvinil and Glasu! brands. The transaction is still subject to regulatory approval and is expected to be completed in the second half of 2025.

8. Sika Acquires HPS North America

Sika AG, Baar, Switzerland, has taken over the remaining shares of HPS North America, Inc., Florence, AL,  USA, also known as HPS Schönox North America. HPS is focussed on building finishing materials such as self-leveling underlayments and waterproofing systems. HPS also distributes Schönox branded products, manufactured by Sika Germany (Sika took over Schönox, Rosendahl, Germany, back in 2013, we reported earlier). A transaction value was not disclosed by either party.
