1. Next Week: BAU in Munich - we go (Bavarian) Curling on Wednesday Night

This year's traditional casual drymix.info Evening during BAU on 15. January has been moved to outdoors for a fun evening at the ice curling track of Augustiner Keller (Biergarten) in Munich (Arnulfstr. 52, 80335 München, reachable by Tramway or S-Bahn)! We meet at 20:30 - dress warmly and with anti-slip shoes and join us for a great evening with the drymix ice curling challenge. Relax after a day on the exhibition, get some  fresh air, a hot Glühwein and even some exercise, it is great fun and no experience is necessary!

A sponsor for food and drink is still welcome, otherwise we pay individually. Admission is free of charge, of course, but capacity is limited, so advance registration is mandatory, please e-mail us to info@drymix.info.

3. The 5th Philippine Drymix Mortar Meeting, Manila, The Philippines, 27FEB25: Register now

Registration is open for the 5th Philippine Drymix Mortar Meeting in Manila on 27FEB25. The conference will take place at Dusit Thani Hotel Makati. Join us for the comprehensive program with local and international content and meet the drymix mortar experts from the Philippines, South East Asia and beyond! We published the preliminary program in our last Newsletter, updates can be found on our website.

4. Come and Party with us: drymix.info Jubilee on 23MAR25

On Sunday, 23. March 2025 from 19:00, we will celebrate the 23rd anniversary of drymix.info (since the 20th was hit by Covid…). Join us for a casual Party evening in the unique industrial atmosphere at historic Ofenwerk Nürnberg with food, drink, music and an informal Get-Together. Our Band Trident plays melodic improvised electro. Sponsors are welcome, please get in touch with us. Only for delegates properly registered for idmmcX, RSVP is still mandatory.

6. The 5th ICCCM, TUM Munich, Germany, 08+09SEP25: Call for Papers issued

ICCCM 25 is a forum provided by The Construction Chemicals Section of the German Society of Chemists (Gesellschaft deutscher Chemiker GDCh Fachgruppe Bauchemie). It is a key event for students, faculty and scientists, research facilities and the construction chemicals industry to present results and discuss the challenges in all fields of construction materials science. It features interdisciplinary presentations, workshops as well as a comprehensive industry showcase. The Call for Papers has been issued, please propose topics to GDCh and confirm your sponsoring with drymix.info.

7. The Drymix Mortar Yearbook 2025 will be Released Shortly: Content

8. Cement Australia acquires BGC Cementitious

Cement Australia of Darra, Australia, a joint venture between Heidelberg Materials Australia and Holcim Australia, has agreed to acquire the cementitious division of the Buckeridge Group of Companies of Perth, Australia. BGC Cementitious’ business portfolio is comprised of cement, concrete, quarry aggregates, asphalt, and transport operations as well as a materials technology center. The transaction also includes a cement grinding unit. The acquisition is still subject to regulatory approval.

9. Optimix joins drymix.info as a Member

Optimix Limited of Hong Kong has decided to join drymix.info as a member. Optimix was  established in the year 2000 in Hong Kong and is specializing in the manufacturing of drymix mortars for many applications. Optimix is active on construction projects throughout Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China.

We warmly welcome Optimix to our community.
