¡Ya están abiertas las inscripciones para nuestro 3.º Encuentro Sudamericano de Morteros Secos, que se llevará a cabo en el espléndido Savoy Hotel de Buenos Aires el 12 de noviembre de 2026! Nuestro encuentro contará con un atractivo programa de ponencias científicas a cargo de destacados expertos de la industria, tanto locales como internacionales. Además, el evento ofrecerá un espacio ideal para hacer networking, reencontrarse con colegas e intercambiar ideas. The South East Asia Drymix Mortar Association SEADMA Ltd, Singapore, invites industry experts to come together in Bangkok on 19. November 2026. The 19th Annual SEADMA Conference takes place at splendid Millennium Hilton Bangkok on the left bank of the majestic Chao Phraya (info for delegates: book your room at Hilton Garden Inn Bangkok Riverside, Hilton Millennium is fully occupied). Co-organizer is the Thai Chapter of SEADMA, hosted by Thai Concrete Association TCA - Assoc. Prof. Nattapong Makaratat, Head of TCA, will deliver the delegate greetings. Registration is running strong, we expect well over 100 delegates from throughout South East Asia and beyond in Bangkok this year. 3. Drymix Mortar Yearbook 2027: Still Open for Articles and Advertorials

drymix.info is currently preparing the 2027 edition of the Drymix Mortar Yearbook (DMYB), the one and only printed publication entirely dedicated to our industry. DMYB 2027 reaches the entire drymix mortar and construction materials community worldwide via subscriptions, PLUS all delegates to our upcoming events (in sequence) in Manila, Dubai (or Sharjah), Nürnberg, Seoul, Denpasar/Bali, São Paulo, Mumbai and Sydney in early 2028. Also, Philippe, Celeste and Leo have the DMYB27 in their suitcases where ever they go. Raw material and equipment suppliers should bear in mind: there will be no more conference bags at our events in 2027 - so if you want to reach out to our global community - even if you are not personally present at a specific event - the DMYB 2027 is the place to have your technical articles published! Articles or Advertorials are still accepted until 1. December 2026, publishing fees apply, of course, please enquire with us about the conditions now.

4. DRYMIX ON ICE - Casual drymix.info Sports Night during BAU 2027 in Munich: 13. January 2027

During the construction materials and technologies exhibition BAU 2027 in Munich, drymix.info is again inviting to its traditional no-ties get-together for tired showgoers. DRYMIX ON ICE takes place on Wednesday, 13. January 2027, 19:00, at Augustiner Keller (near Munich main train station). A warm sweater and appropriate footwear is recommended. Seating is limited, RSVP is absolutely mandatory, best within November, first come - first serve. Sponsors are welcome, currently each guest pays her/his own way.

6. Saint-Gobain Weber Starts up its New Plant in Turkey

Saint-Gobain Weber Yapı Kimyasalları Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., Izmir, Turkey (SGW) has recently commissioned its new production plant in Tuzla, to the East of Istanbul. The new factory, with 1.800 sq. m. of enclosed space is the company's 12th plant in Turkey. SGWs production in Tuzla will be focussed on flooring systems, protective coatings, waterproofing compounds, epoxy grouts and concrete repair systems. Due to the strategic location the plant is also expected to offer logistic advantages for export to neighboring nations in the southern mediterranean region.

7. Imerys Announces a Global Price Increase for Products Used in Construction 

Imerys S.A., Paris, France - Building & Infrastructure Division - has announced a global price increase for their calcium aluminate binders and other products used in construction applications by a minimum of 5%. The company cites higher costs for raw materials and energy as well as the currently complex international logistic challenges for the necessity of this measure. The price increase becomes effective on 1. January 2027, or as existing commercial contracts permit. 

8. AkzoNobel Sells South East Asia Paints Business to Nippon Paint 

Nippon Paint K.K., Osaka, Japan has acquired the decorative paints business in South East Asia of AkzoNobel N.V., Amsterdam, The Netherlands, for 1.260 mio Euro. Nippon Paint, headquartered in Japan, is among the largest paints and coatings producers globally, majority owner (58,7 %) is Goh Cheng Liang's Wuthelam Holdings Pte Ltd, Singapore. The transaction is still subject to customary regulatory approvals. Nippon paint is also active in the drymix mortar markets of SEA and India.

9. Sika Acquires Outdoor Paving Expert Azpects UK

Sika AG of Baar, Switzerland has recently taken over Azpects Ltd., Ipswich, Suffolk, United Kingdom. Azpects produces and markets polymer sands and grouting mortars as well as accessories for landscaping and outdoor paving systems. The materials are mixed with water to form a polymer modified slurry for jointing/pointing of terraces, walkways, driveways (cobblestones, concrete slabs etc.) and inner city pavements. The transaction value was not disclosed by either party.

10. Saint-Gobain Formula UK Commissions New Plant Built by Sofraden

Saint-Gobain Formula, Newark on Trent, United Kingdom, has recently commissioned its new gypsum plaster processing plant. The new production unit, realized by Actemium-Sofraden of Saint-Étienne, France, has been erected in tower design and is intended to house three parallel mixing lines eventually. The first line is now operational. The complex project did not only include building a tower plant in the middle of an existing, running production facility, but also transferring the raw materials from the old plant into the new installation - this transfer was organized by Actemium Nottingham.
