Celebrating 140 years

In 1884, Emma Staufer and Gottfried Plüss formed a small business in Oftringen, Switzerland, to manufacture high quality window putty from chalk and linseed oil. Now 140 years later, Omya is a global company operating in diverse industries from polymers to paper, agriculture to personal care, construction to water treatment, among others.
